Sifford’s big bats finally broke lose to gather 11 hits and score 9 runs against Altman’s top starters, Rick Cassell and Tom O’Brien.
Ron Wilke pitched a strong game striking out eleven and walking only one while giving up 3 hits.
Sifford’s big inning was the 4th when they batted around with Peter Cohen getting two hits in the same inning. Zetelski, Wilkie and McMaster all got hits in the 4th when Sifford’s scored 6 runs.
Eric Korsh swatted a line drive homer to left field in the fifth to complete the scoring.
Altman’s scoring came in the 1st with a lead-off walk to McCallum, a hit by Tedesco along with a passed ball and stolen base as Altman put 2 runs on the scoreboard.
