Legion hitters held a slugfest in their game with the Elks on Saturday, batting out twelve safeties to win by the lopsided score of 15-3. The Legion piled it on in the very first inning for ten runs. The Elks came back in the home half with three tallies. Ed Pierce pitched and Matt Lorusso caught for the American Legion. Tom Simone and Ron Hill shared pitching for the Elks, with Jerry Van Etten catching.
