A pitchers’ battle between Richie Koppel of the Kiwanis and Mike Monroe for Boiling Springs resulted in victory for Kiwanis 5-3. Koppel allowed the Springers two hits, and Monroe gave up only three. Ray Cavanaugh caught for Kiwanis, and George Roseman for Boiling Springs.
