On Thursday, JCC won their third straight behind Harold Schweisser to pull within half a game of Rotary. Eight first-inning runs were more than JCC needed to rack up their win.
Errors and wildness marked the sloppy game which saw the winners score 11 times on three hits while the losers were notching five tallies on two safeties.
Pastore took a three-run lead in the first. JCC came back with eight in their half of the inning. Ron Haugh smacked his eighth home run in the second with a man aboard to make it 8-5, but Ritchie Butcher and Ed Lygas put triples back to back for another JCC run in the fourth and the victors added two more in the fifth.
