Rotary practically eliminated Pastore from consideration as a serious pennant threat in Wednesday’s game, the second between the teams in three days, as Billy Hands hurled a stlish one-hitter to get credit for his team’s 10-2 win, the sixth straight for the league-leaders.
Ron Haugh’s homer with a man aboard in the fourth was the loser’s only hit.
Josey Cuseva, Hands and Billy Tuantum sparked the nine-hit Rotary attack with two bingles each. The winners scored one in the second and broke up the game with five in the third and four more in the following inning.
