On Thursday, Kiwanis went into second place in the National league by virtue of a 5-1 conquest of Pastore.
Ry Alyea’s two-hit hurling proved too much for Pastore, despite a four-hitter hurled by Nils Wisloff.
Tommy Tanton’s single, two stolen bases and an infield error gave the victors their first run. They added another in the second on a pair of walks and another miscue. After Pastore made it 2-1 in their half of the inning, Kiwanis tallied once more in the third and two more in the fifth on homers by Alyea and Billy Muench.
