In the National League, a well-coached Kiwanis outfit gave excellent support to Muench, who pitched three-hit ball to upset previously undefeated J.C.C., 4 to 2.
The winners bagged the game early with one in the first and two in the third. Their first score came on Ry Alyea’s double which followed a J.C.C. error. Singles by Ellig and Cox added a pair in the third after two were out.
The losers made it 3-1 in the bottom of the third on a walk, a balk and Daigle’s one-bagger. Kiwanis scored again in the fifth. J.C.C. pushed over the final tally in the bottom of the final inning.
