On Thursday, Pasquin overcame a two-run deficit to dump the Lions, 6-4, behind Duke Matawa, who has accounted for all of his team’s three victories.
The Lions scored two in the first on singles by Jerry Averson and Dave Lambi sandwiched around a pass and an error. Pasquin tied it in the second on Bob Lecoque’s single which followed a walk, an error, and a hit batsman, and added three in the third on a pair of free tickets, Garry Brinker’s double and Don Heine’s single. Three errors enabled the Lions to count their final two runs in the bottom of the inning.
