Tailend Pasquin upended the Lions 12-3 Friday, but the game was protested on the grounds that the Pasquin Club had started the game with only eight uniformed players. Although a ninth Pasquin squad member showed up in time to take his turn at bat, the game had started without him, and the protest will have to be decided by League authorities.

The battery did the damage Friday as Matawa and Brinker led the last place Pasquin team to a 12-3 rout over the Lions. Matawa, three for four at the plate, limited the losers to four hits and struck out fourteen batters in going all the way for the win, while Brinker, in four official at-bats, hit safely three times, twice for the distance.

Four run outbursts in both the first and second innings put the game on ice for Pasquin, who had little trouble solving the slants of Lion hurler Lambie, touched for thirteen big hits.

Reardon, catcher for the losers, led them at the plate with 2 for 3, and turned in an outstanding defensive performance.
