Pastore Builders, through air-tight hurling by Alvarez and Fitzgerald, started off its Little League season with a one hit 2-1 triumph over the Junior Chamber.

Pastore’s winning marker crossed the plate in the bottom of the sixth and final frame of a very tight ball game. A total of only five hits were registered in the whole contest, with not one batter getting more than a single safety.

Pastore pushed across one run in the bottom of the first, and led until the top of the fifth, when a Junior Chamber singleton knotted the score.

Third baseman Roedema ruined the two Pastore hurlers no-hit bid with a single in the fifth, and also scored the lone Junior Chamber run. For Pastore it was Sloan, Fitzgerald, Wunner, and Bull who came through with bingles.
