State Highways of New Jersey

Mercer County signs the highway concurrently with SR 571 between Princeton and West Windsor, but the current NJDOT straight-line diagram does not recognize this overlap. Instead, according to NJDOT, the highway starts where it splits from SR 571. Interestingly, the two roads run concurrently again for a mile and a half between Millstone Township in Mercer County and Jackson Township in Ocean County, at which point SR 526 heads east to Lakewood and SR 571 heads southeast to Toms River.
